Terms of Use
The purpose, limits and reasonable use of the current Amber Forecast public website.
Who operates the service
Amber Forecast is operated by Veng Digital, CVR 27644422. Contact: contact@amberforecast.com.
About the service
Amber Forecast helps you assess when and where coastal conditions may be favourable for amber hunting. Free access covers all published locations, today. Free browsing does not require an account.
Forecasts and your decisions
Forecasts are probabilistic. They provide information and decision support; amber is never guaranteed. Forecasts cannot promise a find, complete information or a particular level of scientific accuracy.
Conditions can change and data can be incomplete or delayed. Use your own judgement and check local conditions, weather, access restrictions and safety advice before visiting the coast. A forecast does not grant access to land or establish that a visit is safe.
Availability and third-party services
Forecast availability can depend on third-party data and services. Interruptions, delays, maintenance or unavailable inputs can affect what is shown. We do not offer an uptime service-level guarantee.
External links take you to services operated by others. Their own terms and privacy information apply to their services. Hosting and Contact email delivery are described in our Privacy Policy.
Reasonable use
Use the service lawfully and with regard for other users and the operation of the website.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access, bypass access restrictions or interfere with the service’s security.
- Do not send malicious code, spam or abusive Contact submissions.
- Do not make requests at a volume that disrupts the service or prevents others from using it.
Intellectual property
The website’s software, text, design and other material may be protected by intellectual property rights belonging to Veng Digital or the relevant rights holders. Third-party material remains subject to its own rights and applicable licences.
Using the website does not transfer ownership or grant a general licence to republish its material. Rights and exceptions provided by law remain unaffected.
Responsibility and consumer rights
We are responsible as required by applicable law. To the extent permitted by that law, we are not liable for losses resulting from reliance on a forecast or interruptions beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or removes mandatory consumer rights. These terms do not provide a guarantee of amber discovery.
Paid access — pre-launch review
This section describes the current intended product model and requires review before any purchase service launches. It is not an offer to purchase or a statement that checkout is available.
Tourist Pass provides 7 days of access and does not renew automatically. Annual provides 1 year of access and renews automatically. Under the current access contract, paid access covers future forecast days and Ravalarm. Purchases require an account. Available features and channels must be stated at launch; no notification channel or store availability is promised here.
The price and applicable terms are shown at purchase. The payment provider or store handles payment mechanics. Production commerce remains unresolved; Stripe integration is currently in test mode. Renewal, cancellation, withdrawal and refund information must be finalised for the actual launch provider before this section can be published as purchase terms.
Governing law
Danish law governs these terms, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection applicable to the customer.
Contact and changes
Questions about these terms may be sent to contact@amberforecast.com. Personal data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
This is a review draft, not effective published terms. English is the source; Danish and German are review translations. Human content review and independent review are required before publication. Material changes to the public service require corresponding updates to these terms.
